What Is A Blog?

  • Perhaps, the biggest question ever to arise in this week's summit was "What is a blog?"

  • The ancient Babylonians first started blogging on bricks which later came to be known as "hieroglyphics." They had no notion of "archiving" so they ran out of brick space.
Another form of un-sanitary blogging spread in the bathroom stalls in east L.A. which later was termed "vandalizing."

JR "speed" Bolen showed what a modern day blog is by show casing the "Beijing '08." At this point, "blogging" may be the hottest topic but everybody seems to have their own definitions. My historic definitions of the blog has no support from the business or IT.
